Risk Art Program

Risk Art Program

Our Mission

At Risk is an art program dedicated to empowering at-risk individuals through creativity, mentorship, and opportunity. We exist to show people that there is a better path forward—one rooted in expression, discipline, and purpose.

For those surrounded by instability, trouble can feel inevitable.

Art can be a lifeline.

At Risk exists to interrupt that cycle.

⸻

Our Story

At Risk is inspired by Risk Rock, a former “problem kid” who found direction through graffiti. What began as an outlet for self-expression became a lifelong passion—and ultimately a successful career in the contemporary art world.

Graffiti didn’t just give him a voice.

It gave him structure, purpose, and a future.

Now, Risk is committed to opening that same door for others—proving that what people love can become something productive, legitimate, and life-changing.

Creative Spaces & Community Partners

Riskrock Studio

Riskrock Studio serves as a dedicated creative workspace where participants learn, experiment, and develop their skills in a real studio environment. The program provides hands-on mentorship, access to professional tools, and a safe, structured space to create and grow.

Compound Contemporary Gallery

Compound Contemporary Gallery functions as both an educational and professional platform. Through workshops, artist talks, and exhibitions, participants gain real-world experience presenting their work in an active gallery setting.

What We Do

At Risk uses street art and graffiti as a gateway to education, skill-building, and sustainable opportunity. We teach not only how to make art—but how to build a future around it.

Program elements include:

• Technical art skills: drawing, painting, graffiti techniques, and design fundamentals

• Understanding the art world: galleries, studios, and contemporary art culture

• The art business: exhibitions, presentation, pricing, limited-edition prints, branding, and professional practices

• Artist development: publishing work, exhibiting, and gaining experience as working artists

• Education pathways: scholarships and continued learning supported through print sales and partnerships

⸻

Our Vision

We believe creativity changes lives when paired with structure, mentorship, and opportunity. By providing access to real studios, real galleries, and real professional pathways, At Risk helps people imagine—and build—a future they may never have thought possible.

Art isn’t just expression.

It’s discipline.

It’s opportunity.

It’s a way forward.
