Bombshell Discovery exists to do something most nonprofits won’t even attempt:

We are here to scare the shit out of PTSD.

Founded by Tommy Strader, Bombshell Discovery was built on a lesson learned in Special Forces and paid for in real life:

Complex problems don’t always require complex solutions.

They require different thinking.

Veterans were trained to function in chaos, speed, consequence, and pressure — then handed systems that try to flatten those same capabilities. We’re not interested in flattening anything.

We’re here to redirect it.

is to drive straight at it.

THE EXPERIENCE THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

For a long time, adrenaline was the enemy.

Any spike — speed, sound, pressure — pulled me back into dark places tied to past experiences. My nervous system couldn’t tell the difference between then and now.

I found my way into a racecar.

And something unexpected happened.

At an extremely fast rate, my brain started flipping back and forth between two thoughts:

I am going to die.

Holy shit, I can’t believe how fun this is.

Back and forth.

Milliseconds apart.

At full adrenaline.

That oscillation — fear → joy → fear → joy — short-circuited my brain.

It forced my nervous system to question its own assumptions.

THE REBOOT

That same adrenaline — the adrenaline that used to drag me back into fear — got rewritten.

Like a reboot.

Like reformatting a corrupted hard drive.

Suddenly, adrenaline spikes stopped triggering fight-or-flight.

They started producing a smile.

The stimulus didn’t change.

The meaning did.

That’s the foundation of Bombshell Discovery.

WHAT WE ACTUALLY DO

We recreate intensity on purpose — in real, engineered environments — so the brain can do what mine did.

We use:

Advanced simulators to scale and prepare
High-performance vehicles to activate
Controlled tracks and environments
Professionally managed safety systems

Then, when the timing is right, we turn it up.

The car charges toward a wall at speed.

Heart rate spikes.

Vision narrows.

Every instinct screams this is it.

Then the car snaps sideways.

Tires light up.

Smoke fills the cabin.

The roar of a thousand horses hits your chest.

Your ass gets slammed back into the seat as you rip around the corner.

And right there — in that split second — your brain flips again.

I thought I was going to die…

but holy shit — this is fun.

Fear and joy collide — and fear loses.

That moment is the work.

Bombshell Discovery is not chaos.

We deliberately activate the nervous system using mind-bending motion-simulated VR environments, advanced simulators, professional-grade racing vehicles, and everything in between.

We seek out experiences that veterans genuinely connect with — environments that feel real, immediate, and undeniable.

This places the nervous system in the same physiological state it once relied on for survival — now reframed for control.

L — LOCK AWARENESS

We don’t let the moment pass.

Veterans learn to stay conscious inside intensity:

What the body is doing
What the mind is doing
Where fear ends and control begins

This isn’t calming down.

This is clarity under pressure.

E — EXPOSE THE TRUTH

This is the moment PTSD hates.

Your body is convinced you’re about to die.

Your brain realizes you’re not.

And then it realizes you’re having the time of your life.

That contradiction breaks certainty.

Once the brain experiences intensity without consequences, the old threat narrative loses authority.

That’s how we scare the shit out of PTSD.

Thrill rides stop here. We don’t.

We measure:

Heart rate before, during, and after
Stress patterns across days and weeks
Sleep, appetite, and recovery
Communication tone, cadence, and engagement

This is how systems get tuned.

This is how trust gets rebuilt.

R — REPEAT AT SCALE

One experience changes perception.

A system creates long-term change.

That’s where the AI Crew Chief comes in.

THE AI CREW CHIEF

The AI Crew Chief is not a therapist.

Not a diagnostic engine.

And it doesn’t judge.
